Apologetics is simply giving a reasoned defense of the Christian faith (1 Peter 3:15). To do this you need to know what you believe, why you believe it, and how to effectively communicate the message to others. All believers are called to defend the faith (1 Peter 3:15) just as all believers are to make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:18–20).
Speaking topics
Scott offers focused talks as well as multi-session training. These six topics are a practical starting point for planning.
Start with Scripture, then compare its account of dinosaur origins, death, and history with the common evolutionary story. Adult and children’s versions are available.
See how underlying beliefs shape the way every person interprets facts and evidence — and why that matters when defending the faith.
Learn practical questions and language clues that expose fuzzy definitions, hidden assumptions, and weak reasoning.
Build a clear, memorable response that explains the Bible’s uniqueness and trustworthiness when someone challenges it.
Practice reading Scripture in context, rightly dividing the text, and recognizing common interpretation mistakes.
Examine the most common objection to Christianity from a biblical worldview and learn how the objection turns back on unbelief.
Additional talks include:
